Al-Dhali' University held a solidarity rally with Gaza. At the rally, which was attended by His Excellency the University President, Professor Ali Al-Tariq, and a number of university staff and students, participants raised banners and the Yemeni and Palestinian flags. They chanted slogans condemning the Zionist aggression, which is committing further acts of genocide against the Palestinians, including the crime committed by the occupation forces against worshippers at dawn in one of Gaza's mosques.
All present affirmed their support for the causes of the Arab and Islamic nation, and in particular for the brutal and barbaric aggression to which the people of Gaza are subjected.
In a statement read by the Secretary-General of the University, Professor Mu'in Al-Bakhiti, he welcomed the announcement of the government of change and reconstruction.
The statement expressed astonishment at the silence and complicity of the international community, the United Nations, and the Security Council regarding the genocidal crimes committed against the Palestinian people. It affirmed continued support for the Palestinian resistance and the ongoing struggle in the path of God to support the Palestinian people through mobilization, fundraising, various public events and activities, and economic boycotts.
The statement also called upon Arab and Muslim leaders to bear their responsibility before God for the genocidal crimes being perpetrated in Gaza amidst the shameful silence of the Arab and Muslim world.
The statement affirmed the participants' support for the Yemeni armed forces, who are performing a sacred duty in the Red Sea against the enemy and its allies, America and Britain.
They endorsed every step taken by the valiant Yemeni army and missile forces to deter the usurping Zionist entity.
