President of the University of Al-Dhale Participates in the First Medical Conference of the Yemeni Scientific Society for Gastroenterology in Sana’a

At the gracious invitation of the Yemeni Scientific Society for Gastroenterology, the President of the University of Al-Dhale, Prof. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, participated in the First Medical Conference and the First Workshop of the Yemeni Scientific Society for Gastroenterology, held under the theme "Knowledge is Renewed" at the Recreational Club (formerly the Police Officers’ Club) in the capital, Sana’a.

The conference was held under the patronage of the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mashat, who was represented at the event by Lt. Gen. Sultan Al-Sama’i, Member of the Supreme Political Council, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Nuaimi. The event was supervised by the Supreme Medical Council and organized by the Yemeni Scientific Society for Gastroenterology.

On the sidelines of the conference, Prof. Ali Saeed Al-Tariq, President of the University of Al-Dhale, met with Lt. Gen. Sultan Al-Sama’i, Member of the Supreme Political Council. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to the university, ways to support its academic and educational mission, and means of strengthening its role in serving the community, with the aim of developing its infrastructure and enhancing its academic and administrative performance.

The President of the University also met with Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Haimi, President of Dhamar University, in the presence of Dr. Adel Omran, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Dhamar University. The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities. The President of Dhamar University expressed his readiness to support the University of Al-Dhale by dispatching academic teams in the medical and agricultural fields, contributing to the advancement of education, training, and capacity building for the university’s students and staff.

In addition, the President of the University of Al-Dhale met with Prof. Mujahid Ma’sar, President of 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences. Their discussions focused on expanding areas of mutual cooperation and continuing joint training, qualification, and capacity-building programs for the University of Al-Dhale’s academic staff, thereby strengthening inter-university partnerships and enhancing academic and medical performance.

The participation of the President of the University of Al-Dhale in this prominent scientific and medical event, together with the accompanying academic meetings, reflects the university leadership’s commitment to strengthening its academic presence and expanding cooperation and partnerships with universities and academic and research institutions. These efforts aim to advance the educational process, enhance the competencies of academic staff, and serve the wider community.
